Mr Sim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the Nanyang Technological University. He has been teaching Science for more than 10 years. His experience with different kinds to students had enable him to find effective ways to explain scientific concept depending on the student’s thinking process.
Mr Sim believes in inspiring students’ interest in Science which would aid their learning in the long run. In addition to focusing on teaching the school syllabus, Mr Sim engages students in discussion on Science related topics such as astronomy and biotechnology to invoke their curiosity and cultivate their motivation to excel in Science.
Teacher Ms Elaine
English Teacher
ex-GEP & mainstream teacher with 20+ years of teaching experience
An MOE scholar and an ex GEP & mainstream teacher, Elaine has been teaching since her days at Raffles Primary Girls in Singapore and Rosaryhill Primary in Hong Kong. She holds a degree in English language and Psychology from the National University of Singapore and also a post graduate diploma in Primary School Pedagogy from the National Institute of Education. She has designed the English Curriculum for various centers and finds joy in curating the latest pertinent news as exercises to share with the kids. As a mother of a gifted child, she is particularly interested in the learning characteristics and challenges of gifted and twice exceptional children. However she believes that curiosity and love for a language can be nurtured for any child if done right. That is the most important and valuable gift any parent can give to a child.
